SURVEYS at Vincennes University
Conducting surveys is an effective way to gather information or collect feedback from
constituents, e.g., faculty, staff, or students. Key surveys essential for accreditation,
administrative, or assessment purposes or formal surveys involving human subjects
research are overseen by the office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (OIER).
Surveys conducted by the OIER utilize Snap XMP Software, is a licensed, cloud-based
software platform. Most surveys are conducted online using a PC, laptop, tablet, or
smartphone. In addition to use of standard URL links to the surveys, QR codes may
also be generated. The software provides the ability to send the link to a survey
via automated email messages linked to a pre-identified group of individuals.
To request a new survey or to activate an existing survey, contact the OIER. Please submit the request and any supporting documentation, e.g., proposed questions
or accreditation requirements, at least two weeks before anticipated activation of
the survey. Upon submission of the request, the Survey Administrator will contact
you to assist in the development and deployment of the survey instrument.
